Introduction to Joint Meeting Hall
The 3rd Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival 2018 sets up the“Joint Meeting Hall”section.Through face to face discussions and exchanges, the Joint Meeting Hall will provide substantial cooperation opportunities to fulfill the needs of every member of the international documentary film industry in order to achieve a variety of goals, such as cooperative documentary projects, investment and financing opportunities as well as support for proxy agents, procurement and other cooperation purposes.
All members of the global documentary film industry are welcome to submit their documentary projects to Joint Meeting Hall. The Organizing Committee of the Golden Tree will arrange suitable business partners in accordance to the demands of each registered entity. For documentary investors, buyers, television stations, agencies, organizations as well as directors, producers and production teams, a wide range of exchange opportunities will be offered in order to deepen the cooperation of documentaries in the fields of arts and business, while also striving to promote the development of the documentary film industry.
The Joint Meeting Hall offers the following services to documentary filmmakers:
Pitch Registration. After you have pitched a proposal, the Organizing Committee of the Golden Tree will look for a suitable business partner. During the meeting the proposing party can present the project’s content to the other side, while also being able to solve and discuss issues regarding investments, pre-sale conditions and broadcasting rights.
Investment Requirement Registration. Once the Organizing Committee of the Golden Tree has received the collective investment requirements of the investor, the Committee will recommend suitable proposals that match the requirements of the investor.
Distribution Requirement Registration. The broadcasting rights holder (owner or rights distribution entity) will propose requirements regarding the distribution of their documentary. Afterwards the Organizing Committee of the Golden Tree will provide suitable broadcasting rights distribution services, while looking for suitable distribution channels.
Purchasing Requirement Registration. The buyer should provide clear purchase intent. Afterwards the Organizing Committee of the Golden Tree will provide suitable documentary projects and proxy agents.
